No, LAIA XR is a healthcare software for analysing medical images using immersive technologies. Surgical planning features are available if desired but the software can also be used solely for XR analysis and manipulation.
What specialties can LAIA XR analysis be used for?
LAIA XR is useful for any medical specialty that uses diagnostic imaging. CT or MRI scan images can be used to automatically generate a 3D reconstruction for analysis using the immersive technologies provided by the software.
What input data does LAIA XR require?
LAIA XR accepts any type of radiological image in DICOM format from leading medical scanner manufacturers.
What devices is LAIA XR compatible with?
LAIA XR features a state-of-the-art desktop PC medical image viewer. This version detects connected VR devices to switch the display to immersive technologies. Any XR viewer compatible with the OpenXR ecosystem is supported. ARSOFT recommends the use of Meta Quest 3.
Do I need to be an institution or are licences available for personal use and private clinics?
LAIA XR offers plans for different potential software users. From personal licences for individual use or licences for private doctors and medical clinics, to licences for full integration in hospitals or hospital groups.
Is LAIA XR certified for medical use?
LAIA XR is a healthcare diagnostic support software that acts as a medical image analysis tool using Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. For most use cases, high-level certification is not required. For clinical use, where comprehensive implementation is necessary, LAIA XR holds the Spanish operating licence for healthcare software and is in the advanced stages of obtaining CE marking for healthcare software and US FDA approval.
