Success of LAIA XR at Medical Expo 2025: Spanish Innovation in Mexico

From October 28 to 30, the World Trade Center in Mexico City hosted a new edition of Medical Expo 2025, the largest medical technology and equipment event in Latin America. This year, one of the solutions showcased was LAIA XR, the innovative surgical planning platform powered by Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality, developed by ARSOFT and presented at the event by Sincronía Médica Aplicada (SIMA) – Exclusive Distributor in Mexico.

LAIA XR’s presence at Medical Expo 2025 was a resounding success. SIMA took advantage of this major event to officially launch this powerful tool in Mexico. Hundreds of healthcare professionals—surgeons, radiologists, biomedical engineers, hospital managers, as well as leaders from teaching hospitals and universities with health science programs—visited SIMA’s booth to discover how this groundbreaking technology is transforming surgical planning and medical image visualization.

For three days, the team of professionals from Sincronía Médica Aplicada presented this medical software, which combines Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality to offer physicians an accurate, three-dimensional view of a patient’s anatomy. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to plan procedures with an unprecedented level of detail, reducing surgical risks and improving safety and precision in the operating room.

Mexico, the starting point for LAIA XR’s international expansion

Participation in Medical Expo 2025 CDMX has been a key milestone in ARSOFT’s internationalization strategy. Together with Sincronía Médica Aplicada, a leading Mexican company in advanced medical and hospital solutions, LAIA XR is making its debut in Latin America, demonstrating its ability to adapt to the real needs of hospitals and clinics across different healthcare contexts.

The ARSOFT–SIMA partnership enables LAIA XR technology—already validated in more than 2,000 clinical cases—to reach more professionals throughout Latin America, offering a tool that enhances diagnostic precision and patient safety across the entire surgical process.

Additionally, the event served to establish new connections with medical institutions, distributors, and potential technology partners from several countries, strengthening ARSOFT’s position as one of the leading companies in the development of XR solutions for the healthcare sector.

A revolution in surgical planning with AI and Extended Reality

LAIA XR represents the natural evolution of medicine toward a more intelligent and visual environment. Through Artificial Intelligence algorithms, the system transforms 2D images such as MRIs and CT scans into 3D visualizations that allow surgeons to understand them more clearly and faster using Augmented, Virtual, or Mixed Reality devices.

This ability to literally “enter” the patient’s body before surgery not only enhances planning and medical training but also improves communication between clinical teams and reduces the likelihood of errors.

A connected and collaborative future

With its participation in Medical Expo 2025, ARSOFT reaffirms its commitment to innovation and its international vision. The partnership with Sincronía Médica Aplicada is only the beginning of an expansion aimed at bringing the benefits of Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality to hospitals around the world, enabling more precise, safer, and more human healthcare.

The success achieved in Mexico City demonstrates that the combination of knowledge, experience, and international collaboration can profoundly transform the future of medicine. And in that future, LAIA XR is already taking a leading role.
