LAIA XR at the SECT Thoracic Surgery Update Course and at CNC 2026
SECT, the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery, is hosting one of the two major gatherings of the surgical community in Madrid where LAIA XR will be present this fall. On October 29 and 30, we will take part as a silver sponsor in the XVII Thoracic Surgery Update Course, organized by the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT). From November 2 to 5, we will be at the National Surgery Congress (CNC 2026) as an exhibitor, at booth 45.
At both events, our team will give live demonstrations of LAIA XR to show how patient-specific 3D anatomical reconstructions can be viewed and explored, both on desktop and in virtual reality.
These are two gatherings with different audiences, but with one thing in common: the chance to speak directly with healthcare professionals about their needs and to learn how 3D medical visualization tools fit into their work.
XVII Thoracic Surgery Update Course: “Sublobar Resection in Lung Cancer: When & How?”
On October 29 and 30, the Eurostars Puerta Madrid hotel will host the XVII Thoracic Surgery Update Course, organized by the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT), which this year focuses on “Sublobar Resection in Lung Cancer: When & How?”. LAIA XR will take part as a silver sponsor and will have a dedicated space to demonstrate the platform.
Sublobar resection is one of the surgical options for certain lung cancer patients. Choosing the technique and planning the procedure require weighing the characteristics of each case and the anatomy involved. In this context, three-dimensional visualization can offer a complementary perspective for examining the spatial relationships between lesions, vessels, and other anatomical structures.
During the course, we will show how LAIA XR works and how 3D anatomical reconstructions can be explored from computed tomography (CT) scans, both on screen and in virtual reality. It will be an opportunity for thoracic surgeons to get to know the platform, ask their questions, and assess its potential within their own practice.
For our team, taking part in a specialized event like this also allows us to learn firsthand about the needs of healthcare professionals and to keep an open, direct dialogue with those who work every day in this surgical field.
CNC 2026: Visit Us at Booth 45 in the Hall Tapices
From November 2 to 5, the National Surgery Congress (CNC 2026), organized by the Spanish Association of Surgeons (AEC), will hold a new edition at the Meliá Castilla hotel in Madrid.
The congress brings together professionals from a range of surgical specialties around scientific updates and the challenges of clinical practice. For LAIA XR, it is an opportunity to introduce our platform to surgeons with different needs and perspectives.
We will be exhibiting at booth 45, located in the Hall Tapices, where we will give demonstrations of how the platform works and of its various visualization options.
The diversity of specialties at CNC 2026 will make it possible to discuss how anatomy is studied in different surgical settings, which structures are of interest in each case, and what needs arise in preoperative planning. These conversations are especially valuable for understanding how the possibilities of 3D visualization relate to the work of clinical teams.
What Will You See in the Demonstrations?
At both congresses, our goal is for attendees to see LAIA XR in action, and not just hear an explanation.
During the demonstrations, the team will showcase:
- Desktop visualization: how to review and manipulate a 3D anatomical reconstruction, rotate the model, and view the structures from different angles.
- Virtual reality exploration: how to examine the anatomical model in an immersive environment and move through it from different perspectives.
- Application to preoperative analysis: how this three-dimensional representation can complement the review of medical images and contribute to the spatial study of anatomy.
Attendees will also be able to ask questions about how the platform works and discuss their interests with our team. If you work in a particular specialty or are interested in a specific type of anatomy, we can tailor the conversation to your needs.
See You in Madrid
Our participation in these two events is part of our commitment to staying in direct contact with healthcare professionals and sharing experiences on the use of 3D medical visualization in surgery.
If you are attending the SECT course or CNC 2026, we would love to meet you and show you the platform.
Would you like to schedule a demo at either congress? Contact our team and let us know which one you will be attending. We will be happy to find a time to show you LAIA XR and answer your questions.
See you in Madrid.
